Το αίτημα προς τον κ. πρόεδρο.

I am an EU citizen and have lived in different countries within the EU for many years. I am stating that in order to demonstrate that I have experience of other cultures and probably more organized countries than the one I am currently living in. Excuse me if you have already commented on the following but I couldn’t find any comments from you on press and I would really expect from you as the president to make a public statement. What is happening for the last 40 or so days in many public squares in Greece is peaceful demonstrations and discussions, something like the “Εκκλησία του Δήμου” in the golden age of ancient Athens, which I am sure you are aware of. However during the so demanding, and slightly imposed, vote in our parliament of the latest restructuring plan, the Greek / European police used excessive and unnecessary violence against civilians, resulting in terrorizing instead of protecting them. As a proof of what I am stating, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S20_JuaX8gg and the following are from the emergencies tent in the centre of the square https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHVrpBkjqKE the smoke you see is tear gas and other suffocating chemicals sprayed by the riot police. I have faith in European democratic values, and also your ethical values personally so I expect your valuable opinion on that matter.
