H Mάργαρετ Θάτσερ στα χρόνια της πολιτικής της διαδρομής κατέρριψε μια σειρά από ρεκόρ. Αποτέλεσε την πολιτικό, που κυβέρνησε 11 ολόκληρα χρόνια εφαρμόζοντας την πιο αντιλαϊκή πολιτική στην μεταπολεμική περίοδο. Ένα από τα ρεκόρ της όμως είναι, ότι αποτελεί το πολιτικό πρόσωπο κατά του οποίου έχουν γραφτεί τα περισσότερα τραγούδια. Από τους Clash μέχρι τους Pink Floyd από τον Morrisey μέχρι τη Sinead O’Connor. Άλλα πολύ γνωστά, άλλα λιγότερο. Tα περισσότερα με άπειρες διασκευές.
